Christian Noll was born in La Porte on October 12, 1861 (some sources list October 2)., in La Porte. He was the son of Michael Noll. He died on May 27, 1942, at the age of 80 and is buried in Patton Cemetery in La Porte.
Noll had one of the longest beer and soft drink bottling careers of any La Porte County bottler, spanning from 1887 to around 1930. He produced many bottle variations and likely the most in La Porte with multiple glassmakers and numerous slug plate embossing differences. We have tried to highlight all of the known variations. If you have any others, please share them with us. It is not known whether he ever produced an amber quart.

LAPORTE.—Last rites for Christ Noll, aged 81, retired businessman who died in the Fairview hospital Wednesday night, were held this afternoon in Cutler Bros. chapel with the Elks’ lodge officiating. He was born here Oct. 2, 1861. For many years he operated a beer bottling and distributing agency here. He was long active in democratic circles. He was married to Sophie Hottinger, who died some years ago. One son died at the age of five. In 1914 he was married to Leontena DeClerq, of Mishawaka. She died Aug. 31, 1941.
