Michael Noll

  • County: La Porte County
  • Location: La Porte
  • Years Active in the Business: 1872 - 1890s

Michael Noll was born in 1834 or 1835 in Germany; records list conflicting dates.

According to the La Porte County Commercial Review, Vol. 1, No. 1 (1896), an article about his son, C. Noll, states that his father, Michael Noll began his beer business in 1872.

According to the 1893–1894 city directory, he operated a saloon at 616 Indiana Avenue. Today, that location is a Northwest Health parking lot across from the courthouse, next to Fire Station No. 1.
If you have any photos of this area from the 1890s, please share them with us.

He died on April 27, 1897, and is buried in Patton Cemetery in La Porte.
